With nearly two decades of classics behind him the Prince is well and truly full grown. First releasing on Chi towns famous imprint “Dj international” .Prolific as ever in his hometown motor city. To bringing it forward and back with the Berlin connection with his Dream Sequence release series on Tresor. Blake Baxter has produced classic tracks across the board. KMS, Ingognito, Underground Resistance, Disko B ...The list goes on. Combining soulful deep efforts at times, and bridging house and techno together with a hard as nails minimalism. The prince’s crown is assured. The Tenth Planet is glad to have one of the originator’s preaching behind the decks.
With a bag of soulful grooves he's been filling since the age of twelve. Nelson is a welcome fuel to the fire for warming up for Blake. Nelson presents the weekly warm up on Dublin's Power Fm and also mixed instead of playing with bricks as a child.
As prolific behind a synthesiser as he is behind the decks, clasically trained to boot. When not busy presenting Ceol Eire on RTE Pulse this man's heart is in the machine with a wealth of releases behind him and up and coming. This mans production studio would make Kraftwerk blush. Djamel will be keeping it to the industrial side of things for us in the cavern. Expect some original material to creep in there.

TENTH PLANET PRESENTS DJ 3000 at The Good Bits

Hailing from the Hamtramck enclave of Detroit, DJ3000 has come a long way since cutting his teeth with Underground Resistance. The Motech Records boss is one of the most respected purveyors of Motor City’s greatest export. The influence that Detroit bestowed upon Albanian descent DJ 3000 for both his 2006 debut Migration, and 2007's Blood and Honey is palpable. With his 2009 EP Galactic Caravan he has come full circle.
Never one to be pigeon holed, with a back catalogue filled with Electro funk, Motor City grooves, and industrial tinged techno. DJ3000 is known for confrontational, melodic and bold sets. Expect his set to be fresh and funky and more then.
Support on the night comes from Will Kinsella, no stranger to the scene. Will can be found weekly on RTE Pulse presenting Ceoltronic.RTE pulses weekly techno payload. Expect a deep bangin bag of tunes for this one.
Opening the night in style (So he tells us) will be Tenth Planet’s own Rob Maguire, who will be playing a deep chugging set of tracks for the Planet.
